Ingredients for 2 servings
- 300g - 400g beef cubes, roughly 2x2x2cm.
- 1/2 - 1 red onion
- 1 green and 1 red bell pepper
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil
- 2 cloves of garlic
Black pepper sauce
- 4 tbsp oyster sauce
- 2 tbsp Shaoxing wine
- 2 tsp soy sauce
- 2 tsp sesame oil
- 2 tsp potato starch
- 2 tsp Whole black peppercorns (grind/crush them first)
Instructions
Prepare the sauce: Mix all the ingredients for the sauce in a bowl, add in the beef untill everything is evenly covered.
Prepare the veggies: Dice the onion and bell peppers so they roughly match the size of the beef cubes
Fry the beef: Turn on a pan on medium-high heat add the vegetable oil, once the oil is hot fry all the beef cubes on one side until they're brown, take care to leave as much sauce as possible in the bowl. Once one side is brown flip them to the opposite side and fry until that side is browned. Once both sides are browned turn up the heat to high and dump in the onion, garlic and bell pepper. Stir fry until the onions are translucent then add in the remaining sauce and keep stirring until the sauce has the desired consistency. Serve with rice.
